Day 1
Arrival Melbourne - Yarra Valley
Leaving Melbourne, the best route to the Yarra Valley is via the Eastern Freeway through Melbourne’s eastern suburbs. The Yarra Valley is home to Victoria’s earliest vineyards and is recognised as one of the world’s great wine growing regions. Numerous wineries offer cellar door tastings and sales, and have restaurants serving gourmet food and fine local produce accompanied by their wine. Perhaps also get close to Australian wildlife at Healesville Sanctuary, home to dingos, kangaroos, wombats and the elusive platypus. For those travelling onto Marysville, drive through the spectacular Black Spur between Healesville and Narbethong on the Maroondah Highway passing through towering mountain ash trees and free ferns. Take the right hand turn to Marysville an ideal destination for nature lovers and adventurers alike.
Day 2
Yarra Valley - Phillip Island
This morning travel south east to San Remo in time for the free daily feeding of the Pelicans at noon, before heading over the bridge to Phillip Island. Phillip Island is home to Australia`s famous Little Penguins. The internationally renowned Penguin Parade that evening is not to be missed, there’s something very heart-warming about watching these Little Penguins splash out of the sea every evening and waddle faithfully off to their sand burrows.

Day 3
Phillip Island
Today is at leisure on Phillip Island. Spend time with wildlife at The Koala Conservation Centre, on a cruise with Wildlife Coast Cruises to see fur seals in the wild or explore attractions such as the Phillip Island Chocolate Factory, Amaze ‘N Things world of magic or tiny Churchill Island.
Day 4
Phillip Island to Mornington Peninsula
Spend the morning at leisure on Phillip Island, why not enjoy a helicopter flight around the island (own expense). Depart Phillip Island heading west around the bay along the Bass Highway and South Gippsland Highway to the heart of the Mornington Peninsula. Heading inland, you’ll find a number of boutique wineries, where many vineyard restaurants create gourmet dishes to match their individual wines. Visit Moonlit Sanctuary along the way, where you can encounter a variety of unique Australian animals, some of which will feed directly from your hand. Take the afternoon to explore all that the Mornington Peninsula has to offer. You may want to visit Flinders on the eastern side of the Peninsula and Cape Schanck, the southernmost point of the Peninsula and finish your day twilight bathing at Peninsula Hot Springs, Victoria’s first natural hot springs in a tranquil bushland setting.
Day 5
Mornington Peninsular to Queenscliff
Start your day in stylish Sorrento and Portsea which are filled with antique shops, galleries, cafes and numerous walking trails along the ocean-facing coastline. Then enjoy the 45-minute ride to the other side of the Port Phillip Bay on the Sorrento Queenscliff Ferry. Spot dolphins, clifftop mansions and incredible scenery. It’s just 45 minutes on very comfortable drive-on drive-off ships to historic Queenscliff on the Bellarine. On arrival, step back in time to discover classic Queenscliff, an historic seaside village with glorious Victorian buildings, cafes, art studios and delightful harbour side dining. Then head deeper into The Bellarine where boutique wineries and charming villages overlook amazing beaches, bays and ocean.
Day 6
Queenscliff to Melbourne

Today depart Queenscliff and then make the return journey north to Melbourne along the Princes Freeway and Melbourne west side suburbs. Prepare for a few surprises as you travel through Geelong by the sea. Once an industrial city which served the rich surrounding farm regions, Geelong has shrugged off its past to reveal reinvented warehouses and factories that are now home a hip new culture of outstanding regional restaurants, cool cafes and bars, craft breweries, art and design galleries. Your vehicle is booked until tomorrow and should be returned by the same time it was collected on Day 1 to avoid additional charges.
