Gondola

Your journey starts by taking a ride in one of our eight-seater Doppelmayr gondola cabins up the side of the dormant volcano Mount Ngongotaha (487 metres above sea level). There is so much to do at the top including taking in the best views of Rotorua. We suggest you allow at least 2-3 hours to enjoy all that Skyline Rotorua has to ofer. Open daily from 9am, seven days a week year round.

Luge

A world frst proudly designed and built in Rotorua. Enjoy a fun-flled gravity ride on a three wheel cart using a unique braking and steering system, giving the rider full control. Hop on the chairlift to return to the top and do it all again! Our two chairlifts and six entry points will excite the most seasoned luger, with a choice of 3 tracks and a combined total of 5kms of track options to ride. Over 5 million riders can't be wrong!

Zoom Ziplines

Fly through the sky amongst Skyline’s majestic Redwood forest with Zoom Ziplines. A whole new way to experience Mount Ngongotaha!  Our unique 400 metre dual ziplines allow you to race your friends & family at speeds of up to 80km/h. Soar metres from the treetops and feel the thrill of flying with Lake Rotorua as your backdrop.  Finish your experience with a thrilling 13m free fall jump!

Stargazing

A Guided Tour of our Galaxy! Explore constellations, look for a shooting star and discover planets invisible to the naked eye with the new Skyline Rotorua Stargazing experience. Mt Ngongotaha is one of the top eight locations in New Zealand for stargazing where the dark clear skies blanketing Rotorua make for a breath taking experience. Skyline Rotorua offers top-of-the line telescopes to give stargazers the chance to view an amazing array of sights, from the iconic Southern Cross, to nebulas, planets, the Milky Way and other galaxies. The most impressive telescope is called ‘The Don,’ weighing over 100kg and performing 2,586 times better than your eye at gathering light, to see space like never before. What’s unique about this telescope is its sharpness - stars are sharp all the way to the edge, which is not the case for 99% of other telescopes.

Skyswing

If adventure pushes your buttons, then dare to face your fears and test your limits at New Zealand’s only Skyswing which doubles as Rotorua’s highest and fastest adrenaline rush! The three-seated Skyswing hoists you 50 metres above Skyline Rotorua, coming to a halt with a breath-taking view over Lake Rotorua and beyond. Hanging from your harness, with the release in your hand, it’s up to you to make the drop! Reaching 150kph, the Skyswing drop will give you a thrill like no other. Eventually the swinging will slow, but don’t get comfortable, we like to excite you one more time with a spin to finish.

Mountain Biking

Skyline Rotorua is now home to New Zealand's first year-round Gondola assisted bike lift, accessing world-class downhill mountain biking. Skyline Rotorua MTB Gravity Park gives riders easy access to a 10.5 kilometre trail network featuring trails with varying terrain for all ability levels.

iNZpired - The Store

Step into INZPIRED – The Store and take in the gallery experience featuring top New Zealand designed products for you to take home. One of the first things you’ll discover is a stunning hanging tree by famous lighting designer David Trubridge which was first exhibited in Frankfurt, then in New York and Texas. The tree is adorned with a range of Trubridge’s lighting that can be flat-packed for easy travel. You’ll also discover a top range of jewellery, skincare, homeware, art, accessories and delicious treats to take home.

Jelly Belly Store

Skyline Rotorua is proud to be the home of New Zealand’s first Jelly Belly Concept Store and Art Gallery. Located at the top of the Gondola, we’ve teamed up with the world famous Jelly Belly gourmet jelly bean company to provide an experience which will excite the sweet tooth in all of us. The store has around 100 scrumptious flavours of jelly beans. Visitors can purchase gift packs to take home or choose from the huge variety of flavours on offer to make their own Pick 'n Mix box.

Stratosfare Restaurant

Set amongst the stars atop Mount Ngongotaha, Skyline Rotorua’s Stratosfare Restaurant and Bar is home to some of New Zealand’s best award-winning cuisine.
